East Union ranked #1 in statewide baseball rankings

The East Union Urchins are ranked #1 in the state in 2A by at least 1 statewide publication.

The Urchins, sporting a 6-2-1 record and undefeated in league play at 3-0, have outscored their opponents 30-8 in league play and 71-41 overall this season.

They are led at the plate by Senior Joel Wilkinson with a .483 average, 3 doubles and 2 homers.

On the mound, Wilkinson is 3-0 with a 1.69 ERA and 37 strikeouts.

Other standouts include Josh Basil and Preston Crump who each have 11 RBI on the season. Basil is batting .444.
