Myrtle clinches division title with walk off win over Pine Grove

The Lady Hawks of Myrtle have proven time and time again to be a resilient bunch. Last at bat wins are more the rule than the exceptions or the scrappy bunch.

It should come as no surprise, then, that they would capture a division title in walk off fashion.

Kinsley Gordon knocked a walk off double to score Sarah Kate Thompson in the bottom of the 7th to capture the 4-3 win and the league crown.

Myrtle jumped out to a 3-0 lead thanks to a 3-0 Breanna Smith RBI double and RBI singles from Gordon and Kinzie Claire Waits.

Smith led with 3 hits. Caylie Streich struck out 8 batters to get the win.
