Myrtle standout Kinsley Gordon commits to stay in state to play college softball

Myrtle standout Kinsley Gordon announced her commitment to play Division 1 softball on Monday.

After taking a visit to Hattiesburg and Southern Miss over the weekend, the senior multi-sport star will be continuing her career with the Golden Eagles.

A big in state win for Southern Miss, as Gordon is ranked among the top players in Mississippi for the class of 2022.

Gordon helped lead Myrtle to a 24-4 record a season ago and a 1A state championship.

She hit .469 with 7 doubles and 4 homers on the year.

After the season ended, she was named to the MS Sports Group All State team.
