New Albany wins OT thriller over Ingomar at Union County Tournament
New Albany came through with several big plays late to move past Ingomar at the Union County tournament.
Their upperclassmen made the most of their skills and experience down the stretch and picked up the come from behind win.
Ashanti High hit a driving and-1 layup to give New Albany a much needed boost towards the end of regulation and senior Kelsey Ledbetter took over from there as the Lady Bulldogs ended the Lady Falcons Union County championship streak with a 63-55 victory.
In a game packed with fireworks, Ingomar sophmore Katie Beth Hall came back and tied it up with a pair of free throws to end regulation.
In the end, Ledbetter proved to be the difference maker, scoring 8 points in OT including 5 free throws to seal the game.
Ledbetter led with 18 while High had 15.
Hall led Ingomar with 24 while Sanaa Finley had 15.
New Albany advances to take on East Union.
