West Union softball sweeps way into second round behind stellar pitching performances

The West Union Lady Eagles are moving on to the second round of the state softball playoffs after getting a pair of run rule victories in round one.

West Union defeated Falkner by scores of 12-0 and 15-1 and are moving on to face Thrasher in round 2 beginning Monday.

The Lady Eagles were paced by their pitching staff of Emma Callicutt who tossed a no hitter and Eden Conlee who allowed only 2 hits in game two.
