Myrtle defeats West Union to advance to finals of Union County Tournament

The Myrtle Lady Hawks made plays on both ends of the court to defeat West Union on Thrusday and advance to the finals of the Union County Tournament.

No plays were bigger than the ones made by sophmore Kinsley Gordon in the final minute.

The stellar sophmore got 3 steals and made 5 free throws in the final 60 seconds to lead her team to a 56-50 comeback victory.

All told, Gordon connected on 14 free throws in the contest to lead all scorers with 25 points while Charlize Williams added 12 for Myrtle.

Annie Orman led West Union with 18 points and Ella Kate Taylor went for 14.

Myrtle takes on the winner of East Union and New Albany Saturday for the County title.
