Lady Eagles get hard fought win over Walnut at Robertson’s Challenge

West Union had a good offensive approach to their matchup against Walnut at the Robertson’s Sportswear Challenge on Saturday.

Let Eden Conlee get things started and Annie Orman finish the Lady Wildcats off.

The Lady Eagles took out Walnut 60-51 thanks to big offensive output from their two leading scorers.

Conlee exploded for 10 first quarter points to give West Union a 16-9 first quarter advantage.

The Lady Eagles would not let off the gas, using their depth and defensive tenacity to keep the lead throughout the contest.

Orman would get a score just before the half for a 30-23 lead and set up things for her big second half.

Orman went on to score 19 in the second half en route to 29 points in the game. Conlee added 16 for the game.

The win moved West Union to 15-9 on the season. They are back in action Tuesday aganst Coldwater.
