West Union falls to New Site at Hotbed
West Union was not able to overcome a 44-27 halftime defecit at the Hotbed on Saturday and fell to New Site 82-63.
The Eagles cut the New Site lead to 5 at one point in the fourth quarter but the Royals went on a 10-0 run to end hopes of a comeback from the home team.
West Union was led by Luke Willard with 19 points and 8 rebounds. Sam Callicutt added 17 points on 4 of 8 shooting from 3-point range and Cole Phillips contributed 13.
The loss dropped the Eagles to 11-16 on the season. They are in action next with a key division matchup against HW Byers with division tournament seeding implications.
