Myrtle remains undefeated in district play, retains #1 statewide ranking

The Myrtle Lady Hawks picked up 4 wins last week, including 3 district wins and 3 run rule victories. In doing so, they retained their #1 statewide ranking,

Myrtle started the week with an extra innings 6-3 victory over Pine Grove. Kinsley Gordon went 3 for 4 at the plate with 3 runs scored and 5 stolen bases. Caylie Streich scattered 6 hits and had 7 strikeouts in the win.

Myrtle went on to win their next three games, against Falkner, Blue Mountain and Hickory Flat by a combined 37-4. Their season record moved to 13-4, 3-0 in division.
