New Albany-Nettleton Scrimmage Canceled

A scheduled jamboree matchup between the New Albany Bulldogs and Nettleton Tigers has been canceled.

This comes due to a positive case of COVID-19 among the Nettleton football team.

The game was originally scheduled to be played on Friday, but weather coming in from Hurricane Laura pushed the game back to Saturday.

Now, both teams will move into the regular season with no “tune-up” tilt.

New Albany will now see its first action of the year on Week One at Pontotoc on September 4.

As for Nettleton, they will now have to most likely quarantine for two weeks and miss out on matchups with Hatley and Baldwyn.
