East Union gets pair of division wins and maintains #1 statewide ranking

East Union picked up a pair of division wins in convincing fashion last week over walnut by 10-0 and 9-1 scores to move to 6-0 in league play.

The Urchins also retained their #1 statewide baseball ranking as reported by Maxpreps

East Union defeated Walnut 10-0 last Tuesday behind a complete game 2 hitter with 12 strikeouts from Joel Wilkinson. Wilkinson also hit a 2 run homer.

On Friday, the Urchins got a 9-1 victory over Walnut thanks to a complete game 3 hitter from Josh Basil, who ended with 9 strikeouts. Cade Bell had a pair of hits and 3 RBI while Ethan Hitt has 3 hits and 2 doubles.
